The post-World War II pediatrician Emmi Pikler invented this tool to allow the child autonomous motor development in complete safety. In fact, Pikler believed that a child, in order to train his motor skills, needs emotional security and the relative structures for training.
Pikler’s triangle offers the child this structure, while guaranteeing greater safety than chairs, sofas and furniture in the house.
